Be afraid, my friends.
Be very afraid.
But do not fear Xelas for their strength or authority, for they have none. This is not about money, or fame, or flaming. This is about power. Power belongs to those who can wield it and I feel the need to state that Xelas has no clue how to do that...or anything else for that matter.
They have no leadership. Blue Flame, the commander in chief for the alliance, does not run the pet project he "has control of". Instead, he has several CEO proxys from the member corporations run his alliance for him. This says to the Eve community that Xelas is not an alliance to join if you want to get anything done, as there is no central figurehead with the authority to resolve complaints or problems that arise.
They have no organized ability to defend themselves or do anything to anyone who opposes them. Fade to Black was once a member of Xelas, and we left on bad terms by all accounts. When we left, we did it in prime time under threat of KOS from the Xelas alliance. Astonishing that we were able to load and fly a Charon freighter out of "their space" while they watched us and not even one pilot attempted to challenge us or hinder our movements.
New corporations join this alliance at will. There is no screening process to speak of as they are so very desperate for bodies to put into ships to defend their little corner of the universe. There is also no consensus from the existing alliance members on the acceptance of new corporations. The "so-called" leaders simply make the decision and bring the new people in. Madness. It also bears mentioning that they only have that tiny corner of fountain because the BoB alliance says they can have it. They have no ability to secure assets on their own and hold them. It is common for enemy forces to set up POS stations within their area of control and then use those stations to harrass Xelas pilots almost endlessly. And why, you ask does this happen?
Because Xelas can't do anything about it. There is no cohesion, no authority, no structure, and no hope.
Join this alliance and you will have a unique opportunity, on that subject I agree completely.
You will have the opportunity to experience what it truly means to stand alone.
It may have been like that while you were there but you need to ask yourself why? If your not part of the solution your part of the problem.
Your Corp leaving XS tells me one thing, you were part of the problem. It's great being Amarr, aint it? --------------------------------
